ABOUT

Natasha Wanchek.

Twenty years of program strategy, evaluation, and performance measurement.

THE STORY

I've spent 15+ years in program strategy, evaluation, and performance measurement across nonprofit, philanthropic, and government sectors.

My career started in wire reporting and Peace Corps Ukraine before moving into program evaluation and eventually to Director of Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning at the Public Health Institute, where I designed and oversaw accountability systems for a federal workforce and fellowship portfolio across USAID and CDC-funded initiatives.

In the past year I've worked with a 60+ branch national membership organization to develop their strategic plan, define measurable outcomes, and design a supporting branch survey — their first organization-wide impact framework. I also helped a New York cultural organization secure its first grant from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.

I founded Itera Partners in 2025 to make that experience directly available to organizations that need senior-level guidance without a permanent hire.

HOW I WORK

I work best when I'm embedded alongside your team. I take the time to understand how your organization functions, where the friction is, and what your staff can realistically sustain. Then I build systems and processes that fit.

The work is similar across sectors — what changes is the context, and I start there.

My commitment to this work extends beyond paid engagements. Since 2022 I've volunteered with organizations supporting Ukraine — coordinating three grant rounds for a nonprofit, developing the impact framework and program manual, and supporting an initiative that helped displaced women artisans from eastern Ukraine reach U.S. markets. In 2025 that effort generated $16,625 in sales from $1,108 in organizational support.

I'm based in New York City and work with organizations across the U.S. and internationally.
